IIFL Supports Mumbai Police and Local Community

In September 2024, IIFL Foundation donated 1,000 raincoats to Mumbai Police as a token of respect. The raincoats crafted from recycled PVC plastic will support the Mumbai Police personnel, who safeguard the city through every weather condition. This donation underscores the Foundation's commitment to supporting both community welfare and environmental sustainability. The raincoats were presented to ADG Shri. Sunil Ramanand (IPS) of Maharashtra Police and handed over to the Police Training Centre in Marol, Mumbai. The Centre will supervise the distribution of 850 raincoats to officers. Additionally, 150 raincoats were presented to Shri. Sunil Dattatray Jadhav, Senior Police Inspector, Juhu Police Station, Mumbai. This donation was part of a broader initiative undertaken by IIFL Foundation and implemented by Yashlok Welfare Foundation, titled “Creating Sustainable Livelihood through Plastic Waste Management”. To date, 110 individuals have been trained and employed through this initiative, which also contributes to reducing plastic waste in the environment. This initiative highlighted IIFL Foundation's ongoing efforts to promote community welfare, environmental sustainability, and the development of sustainable livelihoods.
